Conscious Competence
Based on ideas originally developed by Gordon Training

Unconscious incompetence - don't know what you don't know. Can be comfortable as unaware
Conscious incompetence - Uncomfortable. Aware need to learn something new and of their own lack of skills. Even when lacking skills teacher can (based on their own prior knowledge and experience) see how to apply which students or more proficient may not. Moving from here to conscious competence is the goal of most training rooms
Conscious competence - learner has a degree of understanding but needs to think about task. This is literacy. Compared it with using a second language, CC can use second language but need to actively think how to say what they want
Unconscious competence - Skill or technique is ingrained and automatic. Best achieved by practice or repetition. May be hard to explain to others as innate Blooms & ICT - maps tools and activities to levels of Bloom's taxonomy
"Bloom's Digital Taxonomy isn't about the tools or technologies rather it is about using these to facilitate learning. Outcomes on rubrics are measured by competence of use and most importantly thequality of the process or product. For example. Bookmarking a resource is of no value if the resource is inappropriate or worthless."
